I’ve known about Transatlanticism since the drummer in my sub-par middle school band gave me an MP3 copy. I never really thought much about the album until I put a song on a break-up mixtape for a friend due to some lyrics that vaguely sounded like break-up song lyrics. In fact, I did not invest much time in Transatlanticism until I bought it on vinyl. After I had it on vinyl, I listened to Transatlanticism religiously, on repeat. The lyrics struck me in a way that no album has before or since.
